facility for its line of casual and dress shoes, Clarks hired a Diamond
Head Principal to assist with validating the proposed new high-volume
facility - automation systems, equipment and procedures - before
committing to construction. We provided a detailed simulation model
that allowed Clarks to experiment with several alternative approaches
to how it would staff and run the facility, thus avoiding costly
experiments with an operating facility.

its Houston campus to build, store and distribute personal computers.&nbsp;
Diamond Head Principals provided simulation models, analysis and
recommendations for the automation systems and operations at the
facility, and later for realigning the entire North American supply
chain operations (facility and inventory locations) as the company
experienced rapid growth.</p>

Diamond Head Principals provided a simulation model to analyze and validate the design of the automated systems, and prove the concept before the major capital investment was made. Through the simulation model, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors was able to completely understand the full scope of automation and its financial impact before embarking on the project.

The company employed one of Diamond Head Principals’ simulation modeling expertise to test the soundness of several proposals to upgrade equipment and processes and increase throughput capability. Later updates to the model lhelped Fresh plan for expansion.

The USPS requires detailed simulation modeling of all new equipment and its impact on the mail processing operations prior to deployment. Northrop Grumman partnered with Diamond Head Principals to provide the advanced simulation modeling services for a number of these major programs.

Their Central European supply chain distribution facility had upgraded from manual to automated systems, and was experiencing difficulties in getting the new systems to meet expectations. A Diamond Head Principal was contracted to help analyze several proposed solutions by developing a detailed simulation model of the facility. Simulation results were critical in clearly pinpointing the best solution and getting their distribution operations back on track.

They partnered with a Diamond Head Principal to develop a detailed simulation model of the facility, which was used to analyze the upgrade plan and determine when additional equipment would need to be added. The model was used over a period of 10 years to plan and validate several facility upgrades as their supply chain network evloved.

Diamond Head Principals developed a detailed simulation model of the proposed design and operation of the new facility’s automation, operating procedures, and control algorithms. The model identified areas that needed improvement, and pinpointed the impact that would result from operational changes, allowing them to continue with implementing changes to their supply chain network.
